Jingo’s Tales for Sayu n Tanu

Jingo’s Tales for Sayu n Tanu

In this anthology of short stories, Dr. Ramanathan’s astute memory moves from the life  of a pioneering cancer care specialist to that of a child. He recalls anecdotes where grandmothers, aunts, uncles and neighbours play their part, with insight, curiosity, wit and the fresh eye that only childhood can bring. This is not just a collection for children. Rather, it is a retelling of growing up, learning to embrace tradition with scientific inquiry, respect with the ability to challenge convention, and laughter with wisdom

Readers’ Revirews

Being 70+, I enjoyed reading the anecdotes and was able to connect with them.I am also an author and columnist and can appreciate the efforts, focus and talent needed to write – S.V.Raman ,Coimbatore

Very interesting. Definitely worth reading and enjoying. Most of us had the same lifestyles.- Geeta Ramesh ,Mumbai

It was like Malgudi Days…instead of Swamy, here it was your bro’s childhood memories. Actually, many of our generation have gone thru the ups n downs mentioned therein. Father was looked at with ‘awe’ n fear but mom was the closest. – Shanta ,Mumbai

just finished reading ‘Jingo’s Takes’. It was read in one single stretch not because of the smaller size of the book but because of the content and the way you wrote it. Your writing skill is as good as your sense of humour! It triggered smiles, and nostalgia throughout. Appreciation _ Dr.Indulal , Kottayam

very… very interesting…you are a good writer.. It is really very touching… how slowly you began to understand life and it’s implications _ SR Anastasia , Trichy

I have still not completed Jingo s tales as I am savouring every word. And taking my own sweet time to enjoy it. .I knew you can write well but this is excellent ( out of the world) I am an avid reader and I can say how beautiful you have coined the words with a wonderful sense of humour making it seem so visually live for us  But the best compliment is my husband who rarely reads books picked it up and was enjoying it . He said doctor has written so well and he said he related to many incidents – Sita Vishwanathan
